Here are a handful of features I've worked on that I thought might scrub up nicely.
Savings Goals
Savings Goals are pretty standard for a banking app, so we just kept it simple...
We saved the good ideas for when we could push the boundaries, like this smart deposit goal linked to real property data – not an arbitrary amount your parents gave you as a kid.
Quick Terms
For T&Cs, we're all just looking for the TLDR. WIth Quick Terms we created exaclty that.
Round Ups
Round Ups perfectly encapsulate ANZ Plus' mission to deliver features that can change and improve financial behaviour. And the numbers are particularly impressive too – $14.9M Rounded Up in FY24/25.
Payday Rules
"When I get paid, transfer this percentage or that amount to..." is the simple logic of Payday Rules. Scheduled transfers triggered when your pay arrives – in whatever format makes sense for you.
Spendi
Not a lot of customers were asking for a daily budget tool to sass them when they overspent, but here it is. People enjoyed the animations and playful updates, but we quickly realised a daily budget isn't a popular cadence. An upvote for more diligent feature testing.
Add-Ons
Add-Ons allowed customers to customise their ANZ Plus app with handy financial tools we built in house and integrations from our partners, including Qantas Frequent Flyer, ATM Finder, Money Map, Spend Categories and more.
Joint Accounts
Our most requested feature, we delivered Joint Accounts as a simple upgrade for existing ANZ Plus customers. Simply invite your plus one, familiarise yourself with the legalities of the situation and away you go.
Operation Christmas
In December 2021 ANZ Plus was in a staff Beta and, with most of our staff in lockdown in Melbourne, what better than a Christmas takeover to bring a little holiday cheer.
